Juan Carlos Menéndez, Ph.D., has moved recently to Sovereign Pharmaceuticals, Ltd where he works as Senior Scientist, Research & Development. Dr. Menéndez received his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Cincinnati and his Master of Science in Pharmacology from the Advanced Studies and Research Center in Mexico City. He has eight years of experience in production, research, and project development.

Dr. Menéndez has gained his experience as an employee in Pfizer, Mexico. Initially he worked in the production area assisting the scale-up from pilot batches to the equipment available in the Mexican facility. Later, he was transferred to the project team responsible for a major overhauling of the solid dosage form facility where he worked as project/process engineer.
